🔺 First Dub. The softball team won its first game of the three game series against Utah State. The Lobos won 12-6 on Thursday. UNM clinched a spot in the Mountain West Tournament. Thursday marked the eighth game that UNM has hit three home runs in a game and the 13th game with two or more home runs with the Lobos 13-0 in such games. DeNae Vasquez-Dickson led the team with three hits. UNM hit three doubles and three home runs and drew a season-high right walks in the game with Allie Williams and Miracle McKenzie each drawing two walks.

🔺 Seeing Double. The men’s basketball team added two more players to its 2026-27 roster. Dax Hall is a 6’1” guard. Hall averaged 27.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game as a senior at Santa Fe Christian. He never scored fewer than 17 points in a game during his senior season, posting nine 30-point performances, including a season-high 42 against Cathedral Catholic. He will join his older brother, Jake, on the Lobos’ roster next season. Benjamin Schuch is a 6’9” forward. Last year he made his debut with the senior Austrian National Team, where he was teammates with incoming UNM transfer Imran Suljanovic. At the 2025 FIBA U20 EuroBasket, Schuch led Austria by averaging 13.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 5.9 rebounds per game.
