🔺 Week 2. The football team wrapped up week two of spring practice. Check out everything the Lobos have been up to here!

🔺 Best Duo. The softball team had two players earn Mountain West weekly honors. McKenna Guest was named the Pitcher of the Week. Caitlin Benningfield was named the Freshman of the Week. The duo led the pitching staff to a 1.27 ERA in the series against Boise State, with the Lobos outscoring the Broncos 21-5, holding the Broncos to a .195 batting average and never trailed in the 22.0 innings.

🔺 National Honor. Track and field athlete Habtom Samuel was named the USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week. He won the men’s 10,000m at the Stanford Invitational with the fastest time in the nation. This marks his third National AOTW honor this academic year alone.

🔺 Fantastic Four. Four Lobos, Sophia Corder, Tahlia Micallef, Reed Moyer, and Kaylah Yazzie, were all honored as members of the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team. In order to be eligible for the Academic All-District team, student-athletes must be regular performers during the season, compete in at least 75% of the meets, and have at least a 3.5 grade point average.

🔺 Round One. The women’s golf team played rounds one and two of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic. New Mexico is in 13th place with a score of 596 (+20). Chelsea Truong leads the team in 29th place individually.
