🔺  Welcome! UNM hired Michael Thomas as the new Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development and Executive Director of the Lobo Club. He will start the position on July 8. In the role overseeing the athletic development office, Thomas will oversee UNM’s fundraising staff and have a primary focus on revenue generation and private philanthropy. The Lobo Club is coming off another year of record fundraising, which now includes NIL support for student-athletes. Thomas was previously at the University of Cincinnati for four years as the Associate A.D., Major and Principal Gifts.

🔺  Ruled the Region. The track and field team earned many USTFCCCA Mountain Region honors. Habtom Samuel was named the Men’s Track Athlete of the Year. This marks his second time earning the award for the outdoor season and fifth time in his career. Marion Jepngetich was named the Women’s Track Athlete of the Year. Darren Gauson was named the Women’s Coach of the Year.
