🔼 Holly Jolly Gameday. The Lobos are home for one game this week as they host UC Irvine. Both teams are ranked in the top 60 in the NET, so it’s bound to be a battle. The Lobos are ranked No. 28 in the NET and the Anteaters are No. 55. The Lobos are one of three Mountain West teams with 10 or more wins. New Mexico and UC Irvine have never met in men’s basketball, so this will be a first. Game time is 7 pm and will air on the Mountain West Network and the Lobo Radio Network.

Wear your best holiday sweater and get in the spirit because Santa Claus and The Grinch will be having pregame photo opportunities on the concourse!

🔼 A-Listers. Lobo swimmer Jordan Foster is having a breakout meet at the UNLV Invitational! She started off by winning the 50-free on Sunday. On Monday, she finished third in the 100-yard butterfly and sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke to give her three A-Finals appearances! Layni Andrle finished seventh in the 400-yard individual medley to earn her first A-Final appearance of the meet. The Lobos 200-yard medley relay group earned a fifth place finish.

Have you listened to the newest episode of the Sy & Skye Podcast? Last week’s guest was women’s basketball player Vianè Cumber. She talks about overcoming adversity and playing for her hometown team. She’s from Albuquerque and played high school ball at Sandia High School. She was also the 2019-20 and 2020-21 New Mexico Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year. Her brother, Adam, was a walk-on with the men’s basketball team.
