🔺 Best Man. Football player Jaxton Eck was nominated for the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. The award recognizes student-athletes and head coaches from every level of college football who are making an impact through community service, academic achievement and leadership. Eck has volunteered for all public service with the football team, and he has been a regular reader at UNMH Children's Hospital. Additionally, he manned a table and spoke on campus for the "Be A Match" program; he has volunteered to work with Nusenda Credit Union for various social projects; and he led the squad in feeding the homeless at the 2025 Rate Bowl.

🔺 Part 5. The baseball team earned the 2025-26 American Baseball Coaches Association Team Academic Excellence Award presented by Sports Attack. This is the fifth consecutive year the team has earned the honor. The Lobos had a 3.67 team GPA during the 2025-26 academic year. To qualify for the honor, a team must be a high school or college baseball program, have a head coach who is a current ABCA member and post a minimum cumulative team GPA of 3.0 during the academic year.
