📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Series Win. The baseball team won its series opener against SDSU 5-3 on Friday. Anthony Diaz hit a dramatic two-run walkoff home run in the bottom of the ninth to secure the win. Cristian Mogen struck out 11 batters, the most of any Lobo pitcher in a single game so far this season. The Lobos clinched the series on Saturday in an 11-3 win. Ryan Castillo threw the first nine-inning complete game since 2018. He is now 7-1 this season on the mound, the most wins by a pitcher since 2016. The men finalized the series 12-8 on Sunday. This marks the team’s first Mountain West sweep of the season.

🔺 On the Diamond. The softball team split its doubleheader against Nevada on Saturday. The Lobos won 12-8 and fell 12-7. The women had 14 hits in the victory. Allie Williams and DeNae Vasquez-Dickson each hit homers.

🔺 Title Won. The No. 20 men’s golf team won the ASU Thunderbird Collegiate. The men finished with a team score of 820 (-32). Johnnie Clark won the individual title with a final score of 199 (-14). Mesa Falleur was right behind in 8th place. This marks the program’s second win of the season.

🔺 Big Performances. The track and field team competed at the 44 Farms Invitational. The Lobos had five performances that ranked among the Top 10 in UNM history outdoors. The 4×100m relay recorded the second-fastest time in school history. Sofia Pineda ran a new ran a new outdoor best that ranks No. 6 on the UNM outdoor list.
