🔺 Bowl Bound. The football team beat UNLV 40-35 on Saturday. The team is bowl eligible for the first time in nine years. The Lobos are 6-3 overall and 3-2 in Mountain West play. Damon Bankston, Simon Mapa, Keagan Johnson and D.J. McKinney all made it to the end zone. New Mexico played Jack Layne, Jaxton Eck and James Laubstein in the quarterback position. Layne led with 342 yards and three touchdowns. The Lobos had a total of 532 yards.

🔺 Titles Won. The men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the Mountain West Championships. The program swept the team and individual titles. This is the Lobos’ first time winning both titles in back-to-back years since 2014. Habtom Samuel became the first Mountain West athlete— man or woman— to win three Mountain West individual titles in a row.
