🐺 And much, much more!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Runnin’ Rookie. For the second-straight week, Evans Kiplagat was named Mountain West Freshman of the Week! The men’s track runner put down the fastest 10,000m time by a Mountain West athlete since 2021 last weekend. His 28:08.26 time ranks third in Lobo history and fourth in the nation right now. His performance was key in New Mexico being named No. 1 in the USTFCCCA’s #EventSquad 10K ranking. The Lobos will be back in action April 10-13 at the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Beach Invitational.

🔼 Tucson Tussle. Seven different Lobo pitchers saw the mound in last night’s 9-1 loss at Arizona. The Lobos put down six hits, but they just couldn’t keep up with 12 Wildcat hits. Reed Spenrath hit a double and a triple, as well as scoring the lone Lobo run. It was his 13th multi-hit game this season. They’ll be back at home this weekend when they host Sam Houston.

🔼 Morning Mash. Head on over to Lobo Softball Field for your lunch break and take in their doubleheader against San Diego State! They’ll start the midweek conference games at 11 am with game two following. If you can’t spend your day at the ballpark, you can watch both games on the Mountain West Network.

🔼 Fantastic Four. Four New Mexico swimmers were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-DistrictMadison Deucher, Katy McCarter, Kiana Raagas, and Iryna Tsesiul. These Lobos are four of 15 student-athletes in the Mountain West that were honored. Iryna capped her senior season at the National Invitational Swimming Championships.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

Hometown House. Lobo basketball player Jaelen House was selected to play in the Reese’s College All-Star Game. The game will take place in Jaelen’s hometown of Phoenix, Arizona during Final Four weekend at State Farm Stadium. The game stars 21 seniors from around the country. He’ll play with the West Team on Friday at 3:30 pm on CBS Sports Network.
