🔼  Last One, Best One. The final Mountain West Player of the Week award goes to Nyah Wilson! She scored a career-high 33 points in the win at Fresno State on Tuesday, tying her career-high with 11 made field goals. She added a career-high six assists! This is her second conference honor of the season, and fifth total for the Lobos. The Lobos will take on the winner of San Diego State and San José State in the Mountain West Tournament on Monday.

🔼 Chasing Championships. Two Lobos are representing New Mexico at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Boston today and tomorrow! Habtom Samuel and Evans Kiplagat will be racing for a national championship this weekend. Both will compete in the men’s 5,000m today at 3:20 pm and Habtom will run in the 3,000m final tomorrow at 3 pm. You can watch the races on ESPN+.

🔼  Happy Birthday, Coach. The women’s tennis team gave Coach Vicky Maes a great birthday present — a win over Montana to stay undefeated! The Lobos won two straight after a 2-2 standstill. They’re now 10-0 and will take on Montana State this morning at 10 am.

🔼  Conference Challenge. The Lobo baseball team is starting conference play at home this weekend when UNLV comes to town. Because of forecasted weather, today’s game was moved to 2 pm this afternoon. There are plenty of fun things going on for MWC Opening Weekend! Today, there will be a croakie giveaway, tomorrow will be a student raffle, and kids run the bases on Sunday! 🐺 ONE BIG THING

Lauren Lehigh was named the Mountain West Women’s Golfer of the Week. She was the runner-up at The Show at Spanish Trail this week, earning her best individual finish in three years. This is her first weekly conference honor of her career.
