📈 STOCK UP

🔼 First Timer. True freshman quarterback Devon Dampier was named this week’s Pueblo of Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel Star of the Game! He got the start after Dylan Hopkins was out with an illness, and gave it his all. He completed 17-of-26 passes for 200 yards. He also added 13 carries for 48 yards.

🔼 Up The Ranks. The men’s cross country team was ranked No. 13 in the latest USTFCCCA Poll! It’s the highest they’ve been ranked since 2014. They moved up six spots from their previous No. 19 ranking. The Lobos are coming off a third-place finish at the Mountain Regional, led by an individual championship from Habtom Samuel. There is just one more race to go, and it’s the most important — the NCAA Championship.

🔼  Dive In. The Lobos swim team picked up four first-place finishes and won both of the diving events at their first home meet of the season! The Lobos hosted New Mexico State and Western Colorado University. New Mexico swept the relays, winning the 200-yard medley relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay. Katy McCarter won the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle with season-best times. Alice English won the 1-meter dive and Kristen Hepfer won the 3-meter dive. The six wins were the most they’ve won in a dual meet so far this season as they continue to improve every meet.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

Jacory Croskey-Merritt scored two touchdowns on Saturday, putting him at 15 total touchdowns on the season with 14 of them being rushing. He now ranks fourth on New Mexico’s single-season rushing list and sixth on the overall rushing list.
