🔺 Drafted! Baseball player Cooper Corkrean was selected in the 18th round of the 2026 MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals. Corkrean was the No. 539 overall pick. He becomes the first Lobo selected in the MLB Draft since 2023. Overall, he is the 96th Lobo selected dating back to 1966. Corkrean compiled a 6-2 record with two saves while striking out 59 in 59 innings of work.

🔺 New Lobos. The men’s tennis team signed two new players for the 2026-27 season. Nikhil Srivatsa is from Monte Sereno, Calif. He earned a four-star player ranking on Tennis Recruiting.com and had a USTA ranking of 132 last year. Andrew Lavine is from Bellaire, Texas. He transferred from UC Riverside where he played No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles.
