🔼 Deja Vu. If it feels like we’re repeating ourselves, that’s because we are. JT Toppin was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week for the second week in a row! He helped the Lobos to three wins at the Ball Dawgs Classic last week, averaging 17 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. He shot 81% from the floor. His 27 points against Toledo were the most by a Lobo freshman in 13 years and he became the first Lobo freshman to post consecutive double-doubles.

🔼  Honey, We’re Home. The women’s basketball team is finally home from their Thanksgiving trip to Mexico for the Cancun Challenge. They host Eastern Illinois tonight at 7pm to start their six-game homestand. The Panthers sit 1-4 overall while the Lobos are 4-2. Tonight’s game will be a SAAC Canned Food Drive with donations accepted at the northeast and southwest entrances — donators will receive a voucher for discounted tickets. If you aren’t making the game, you can watch live on the Mountain West Network.

It’s Rio Grande Rivalry week! The New Mexico State Aggies will come to The Pit on Saturday. The women’s team will play them at 1pm and the men’s team will play at 7pm. Break out your cherry gear and get tickets while they’re still available!

Lobo football player Aaron Smith overcame an alarming heart condition. Thanks to doctors, New Mexico training staff, his family, and Coach David Howes he was able to get back to full strength and play this season. Click here to listen to his story.
