🎥 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

This Senior Spotlight is on soccer player Eliza Mariner. She’s been working through injury, but continues to support her teammates. Watch her read her letter to her teammates a nd her favorite memory as a Lobo.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Dive Right In. Freshman diver Alice English was named Mountain West Diver of the Week after a phenomenal Lobo debut. She won her first two events at her first career meet and qualified for NCAA Zones. She won the 1-meter and 3-meter dives in the double dual against Colorado State and Air Force. A Lobo diver hasn’t received the honor since 2018.

🔼 Back On Track. The Lobo volleyball team really did have a Tuesday Night Block Party! They swept Air Force 3-0 last night. Kaitlynn Biassou led the way with 17 kills and a .452 hitting percentage. Athina Dimitriadis put up 7 total blocks and 7 kills of her own. They’ll hit the road to San José State on Thursday.

🔼 Switching It Up. The men’s tennis team is headed to the ITA Central Regional championships. Yes, you read that right. The Lobos typically play in the Mountain Region, but the dates didn’t work out, so to Stillwater, Oklahoma we go! They meet Big XII and SEC opponents today through Sunday. On the women’s side of things, they’re sticking to the Mountain Region and heading to Utah. Katherine Jhang and Leonie Hoppe are looking to defend their Mountain Region doubles crown.

🔼 2-for-2. Not one, but two Mountain West honors came in for Habtom Samuel this week. He was named Mountain West Athlete and Freshman of the Week! He finished third in the men’s 8k at the high-powered Nuttycombe Invitational last weekend. He ran a 23:26.2 time, which was 10 seconds less than his previous PR. This is his second Athlete/Freshman of the Week honor of the season, meaning he’s won the award each week he has raced.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

Senior Night on the soccer field is tomorrow, but wait — there’s more! We’re collecting donations for a winter animal shelter donation drive. You can bring any new or lightly used toys, new treats, or blankets before the match. The Lobos play Colorado State at 7:30!
