📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Pull Up A Chair. New Mexico Vice President for Athletics and Athletic Director Eddie Nuñez got a big call over the weekend. He has been named the chair of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Oversight Committee with a three-year term beginning tomorrow. The committee supervises qualifications and selection procedures for the NCAA DI Men’s Basketball Championship, reviews recommendations, and more. He won the Commissioner’s Award in 2021, becoming just the third person ever honored by the Mountain West with the award.

🔼 Dive In. There’s a new diving coach in town and his name is Logan Andrews! He was the diving coach at Ouachita Baptist University last season where he coached second and third place finishers at the New South Intercollegiate Swimming Conference Championships. He was a diver at Auburn from 2017-2021 where he was a four-time NCAA zone qualifier and a two-time SEC finalist.

🔼 Count ‘Em Down. There are just 33 days until kickoff, so we’re going to look back at one of the great Lobos to wear number 33. Alex Hart was a linebacker from 2015-2019, he recorded 82 total tackles in his final year at New Mexico. He forced three fumbles and had one interception in his career. He was an All-Mountain West Honorable Mention and a three-time Academic All-Mountain West, Lobo Scholar-Athlete, and Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.

🔼  Mic’d Up Mackenzie. We’re bringing you some Monday morning entertainment with women’s basketball player Mackenzie Curtis mic’d up! From dad jokes to hyping up her teammates, Mackenzie does it all. She is a redshirt sophomore and is a guard who played in 21 games as a freshman. She’s from San Diego, California and was the top scorer in the city for two years.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

The Lobo baseball team won the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award for their record breaking year in the classroom. The team held a 3.65 GPA for two semesters, leading all New Mexico men’s teams. Back in June, Dylan Ditzenberger was named a CSC first-team Academic All-American after maintaining a 4.16 GPA. Dylan was also just nominated for the 2022-23 Mountain West Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year!
