📈 STOCK UP

🔼  Run-Rule Rivalry. The Lobos opened the Rio Grande Rivalry, baseball edition, with a dominating 14-4 run-rule win over New Mexico State. The Lobos had 16 hits and three home runs in the win. Will Asby hit his second grand slam of the season in the bottom of the second inning. The Lobos scored eight in that inning and never took their foot off the gas. Reed Spenrath and Devon Dixon also contributed to the home run party. The Lobos have now one eight-straight games where they’ve hit at least one home run. The Lobos will stay home this weekend when they host San José State.

🔼 Silver Lining. The men’s golf team finished the Arizona Intercollegiate in second-place. They shot 4-over throughout the tournament and were four strokes ahead of Long Beach State in third-place. Albert Boneta finished tied for fourth individually. Connor Adams also tied for fourth, playing as an individual. Carson Herron tied for seventh-place and Bastien Amat tied for 13th.

🔼 Celebrity Guest. Freshman softball pitcher McKenna Guest was outstanding in yesterday’s 6-1 win over UTEP. She took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and threw her seventh complete game of the season. Between the fourth and seventh innings, she retired nine-straight Miners. Rachael Hathoot, Keyannah Chavez, and Chloe Yeatts all went 2-for-3 at the plate. Keyannah and Chloe added a home run each and now they both have four on the season. The Lobos will look for some more home wins this weekend as they host UNLV.

🔼 Placed In Paradise. The women’s golf team placed in seventh at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Hawaii. They shot 6-under in the third round, the second best round of the day. Lisa-Marie Pagliano led the Lobos in the third round with a 5-under 67, tying her best collegiate round. Lauren Lehigh was the top finisher, tied for 13th at 2-under.

🔼 Double Trouble. The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) named Donovan Dent and Jaelen House to All-District Teams! Donovan was a 1st Team selection, while Jaelen was named to the 2nd Team. Jaelen scored 92 points in the Mountain West Tournament, setting a school record.
