📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Overtime Thriller. The football team took San Diego State into double overtime and beat them 23-17 on Senior Day. The team finished the season 9-3 overall, 6-2 in conference play and undefeated at home. The 9-3 record ties for the second-most wins by a Lobo team and is just one win behind the 10-1 squad from 1982. James Laubstein, D.J. McKinney and Jack Layne made it to the end zone. Regarding the Mountain West Championship game, the Lobos were not selected to compete.

🔺 Fun in Florida. The women’s basketball team competed in the Florida Gulf Classic. The Lobos went 1-1 with a win over Chicago State, 80-53, and a loss against Cincinnati, 63-60. Cacia Antonio led the team with a season-high 17 points in the victory. Nayli Padilla tallied a career-high 19 points against Cincinnati.

🔺 Academic Honors. The soccer team had five athletes earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors. Kennedy Brown, Allie Anderson, Nicole Anderson, Morgan Juran and Fiona Jenkins all earned the honor. To qualify, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. For soccer, eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of the matches or start in at least 66 percent of the matches.
