🔼 Fearless Freshman. Freshman men’s basketball player JT Toppin became the second Lobo freshman to have a double-double against a ranked opponent. Who was the first? Kenny Thomas, and things seemed to work out well for him! Speaking of Kenny Thomas, he just announced that he’ll be doing the postgame show after every Lobo basketball game on KKOB for the rest of the season.

🔼 Beck Ball. We’re going to give you some facts about the new football staff so you can get to know them better! We’re starting off with Jason Beck, Offensive Coordinator. This will be his 11th season with Coach Mendenhall. As an FBS QB coach, his quarterbacks have averaged over 3,000 passing yards and almost 3,800 yards of total offense per season. He spent last season as the offensive coordinator at Syracuse, racking up 40 touchdowns and making the RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl in 2023.

🔼 Howell For The Lobos. Defensive Coordinator Nick Howell will be spending his 16th season with Coach Mendenhall. He brings 11 years of defensive coordinator experience at the independent, ACC, and SEC levels. The last two seasons, he was the defensive coordinator and safeties coach at Vanderbilt, where his team tied for the SEC lead with 12 interceptions. Before Vanderbilt, he spent his career with Coach Mendenhall at BYU and Virginia.

The 6th annual UNM Children’s Hospital Diaper Drive is now accepting donations. Bring diapers to the women’s basketball game on Saturday at 2 pm! If you want to make a donation, click here.
