🔼 Let’s Go Round Two. The men’s basketball team is headed to Las Cruces for their second rivalry matchup of the season with New Mexico State. They’re looking to sweep the series tonight, as the Lobos won the first matchup 106-62 — the second-largest margin of victory in the history of the series. It may be a little bit of a challenge in the Pan American Center, as the Aggies are 5-0 at home — but the Lobos are riding an eight-game winning streak. The game will air on CBS Sports Network and the Lobo Radio Network at 7 pm.

🔼  Drum Roll Please… With all the conference realignment talk, thinking about next season’s schedule could get a little confusing. Think no more! The 2024 Mountain West football schedule is here! The Lobos will host three conference games and hit the road for four. They’ll host Air Force, Wyoming, Fresno State, and Washington State. Washington State is not part of the conference, but they are part of a scheduling agreement. New Mexico will be traveling to Hawai’i, Utah State, Colorado State, and San Diego State. The current non-conference slate include Montana State at home and road trips to Arizona, Auburn, and New Mexico State.

🔼  Get In The Spirit. Finals week is finished and we finally have some Lobos at home! The women’s basketball team will host Western New Mexico on Sunday at 2 pm for the final non-conference home game. The first 500 fans will receive a holiday shirt! The Lobos are 4-1 during this six-game homestand, led by Paula Reus and Charlotte Kohl. Last year, the Lobos beat the Mustangs 93-57.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

Lobo linebacker Sy Riley is a 2023 Inspiring Graduate! He’s earning his degree in multimedia journalist with a minor in political science. He had the opportunity to intern at New Mexico PBS and co-launched the Sy & Skye Podcast. It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for Sy, he came to New Mexico not knowing much besides the photos he saw online. He didn’t have his first in-person class until 2022, thanks to the global pandemic. He had three surgery’s last offseason and a concussion this season. Injuries aside, he recorded over 136 tackles across 37 games.
