🔼 Wrangled The Cowboys. The men’s basketball team got the 77-60 win over Wyoming to enter the Mountain West win column. The Lobos stole the ball 16 times, the second-most ever against a Mountain West opponent. Donovan Dent had another 20-point game, his fifth of the season, scoring 21 points. Jamal Mashburn Jr. had 12 points, while Jaelen House and Nelly Joseph Junior had 10 each. The Lobos were 28-0 in points off turnovers and improved to 8-0 at home this season. They’ll be back in action at UNLV on Tuesday.

🔼 Big Four. Four women’s basketball players scored in double figures in Saturday’s loss against Boise State. Aniyah Augmon led the team with 15 points, recording her tenth game in double figures this season. Paula Reus and Nyah Wilson scored 11 points each and Viané Cumber scored 10. Charlotte Kohl almost recorded another double-double, scoring nine points and grabbing 10 rebounds. The Lobos will stay home to host Utah State on Wednesday at 7 pm.

🔼 Break Out The Brooms. The Lobos swept both diving events at North Texas over the weekend! Kristen Hepfer took home the 1-meter title and Alice English took the 3-meter. Jordan Foster had another great weekend in the pool, winning the 100 and 200-yard breaststrokes. The Lobos outscored North Texas 15-4 in the 100-yard breaststroke. Katy McCarter won the 100-yard freestyle and Maya Clise took the 1,000-yard freestyle. The Lobos took home a total of six wins, but still fell 171-122 to the Mean Green. They’ll be back in the pool at Nevada this weekend.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

We celebrated New Mexico’s 112th birthday on Saturday! The men’s and women’s basketball teams rocked some new uniforms to honor the state flag. The slogan “Land of Enchantment” has been used to describe the state since 1906, you can buy these shirts that replicate the statehood warmups at the Lobo Den!
