📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Final Stretch. The men’s golf team is sitting in a good position after two rounds of the NCAA West Lafayette Regional. They’re in fourth-place as a team — the top five teams move on to the NCAA Championships. The Lobos shot 5-under in round two yesterday to move up one spot. Matthew Watkins and Bastien Amat are both tied for 13th at 1-under. The regional will conclude today with the final round.

🔼  Winning Combo. From winning titles, to winning in the classroom — the women’s tennis team does it all! Four Lobos were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team — Leonie Hoppe, Hsuan Huang, Maud Vandeputte, and Bente Vandeputte. In order to earn the honors, the student-athlete must have a 3.5 GPA and play in 70% of the matches. Leonie and Hsuan advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America voting.

🔼 Two-Of-A-Kind. Two men’s tennis players also earned CSC Academic All-District honors — Alex Maggs and Ryoma Matsushita. Alex will be on the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration,plus this is his second Academic All-District honor of his career.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

Meet Tenryu Yoshida, AKA Ten! He’s a student manager for the Lobo baseball team. He’s an exchange-student from Japan who reached out to Coach Brown wanting to help out with the team. Now, he throws batting practice, helps the team prepare week in and week out, and so much more! Ten is a Lobo for life.
