📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Stands Alone. Lobo runner Habtom Samuel continues to beat his own New Mexico record! He cut nearly five seconds off his previous 3,000m record at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston over the weekend. He passed two pros to cross the finish line in 7:40.63.

🔼  Went Yard. On softball’s Opening Day, Chloe Yeatts showed no mercy. She hit two home runs and added five RBI against Tennessee State and McNeese. Keyannah Chavez was also impressive with a .714 batting average and five hits. The Lobos defeated Tennessee State 7-6 before falling to McNeese later in the day.

🔼  Love-ly Start. The Lobos have started the women’s tennis season with a 5-0 record for the first time since 1998. It was a thrilling weekend in Spokane where the Lobos picked up wins over Seattle, Gonzaga, and Eastern Washington. They beat Seattle and Gonzaga in 4-3 contests before sweeping Eastern Washington, 5-0. This is the Lobos best start in the Mountain West Era.

🔼 Fourth Quarter Finesse. The women’s basketball team got the 62-46 win over Colorado State on Saturday. The Lobos held the Rams to just four points and 12.5% shooting in the fourth quarter. The Lobo defense held them to a season low in points. Aniyah Augmon took over the arena with a career-high 16 rebounds and 22 points for her second double-double of the season. They’ll be back in action on Wednesday when San José State comes to The Pit.
