🔺 First Dub. The women’s basketball team won its first regular-season game against Northern Arizona 77-59. The Lobos shot 51.9% from the field and 38.1% from behind the arc. Clarissa Craig led the team with 16 points. Destinee Hooks had 12 points and Alyssa Hargrove had 11.

🔺 Triple Threat. The football team had three players named to weekly honors. Jack Layne was named to the Davey O’Brien Awards Great 8 list for Week 10. He completed 17-of-22 passes for 342 yards and three touchdowns. Luke Drzewiecki was named the Old Trapper Mountain West Player of the Week for Special Teams. He scored 10 points on a perfect day of kicking. Damon Bankston was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Preseason Watch List. Bankston had 197 all-purpose yards and caught five passes for 122 yards, including an 84-yard touchdown.

🔺 Season Finale. The women’s soccer team fell to Utah State 1-0 in the Mountain West Championship. The Lobos had eight shots, and two were on goal. UNM closes the season 8-5-6 overall. Two players were named to MW postseason honors. Alejandra Puerto was named to the All-Conference First Team. Nicole Anderson earned a spot on the All-Conference Second Team.
