🔼 Habtom’s House. It was, once again, confirmed that freshman Habtom Samuel runs the Mountain West. He won his fourth and fifth Mountain West titles of the year by winning the 1,500m and 5,000m races. Brodie Young finished the 400m in second-place with a season best time. Victor Akhalu got on the podium with a third-place finish in the 100m. Dylan Burrows also landed on the podium with a third-place finish in the 800m. The men’s team finished the Mountain West Championships in fifth-place with 83 points.

🔼  Flyin’ High. Women’s track & field finished sixth in the Mountain West Championships. Maja Gebauer’s pole vault win highlighted Friday for the Lobos. Lobo teammate Alyssa Gregory finished behind her in third. Nicola Jansen was runner-up in the 5,000m and Hanna Bruckmayer was behind her in sixth. Both teams will prepare for the NCAA Preliminaries in two weeks.

🔼 Senior Weekend Success. Lobo baseball put away Nevada to win their last home series of the season. Friday started the weekend off with a 16-0 shutout, courtesy of two Reed Spenrath grand slams. Yes, you read that right… Two grand slams from one batter. Reed finished the night with 9 RBI on three home runs. The Lobos came up short, losing 2-0 on Saturday, but they bounced back to win the series on Sunday. They celebrated Senior Day with an 11-5 win. They scored five runs in back-to-back innings to put away Nevada. The Lobos are tied for first place as they go into their final conference series at San José State.

🔼 Postseason Play. It’s NCAA Regional time for the men’s golf team as they play in the West Lafayette Regional in Indiana. The Lobo lineup of Bastien Amat, Albert Boneta, Matthew Watkins, Carson Herron, and Connor Adams will tee off this morning for round one of three. They’re competing against Vanderbilt, Arizona, Florida, Purdue, San Diego State, Mississippi State, Indiana, Charleston, Stetson, Colorado State, Southern Illinois, Tennessee Tech. The top five teams will advance to the NCAA Championships.
