📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Strong Defense. The football team beat Air Force 20-3. The Lobos limited Air Force to just 110 rushing yards and 161 total yards. Jack Layne, Damon Bankston and Luke Drzewiecki made it to the end zone. UNM had 277 total yards, 35 tackles and four sacks for 28 yards.

🔺 Record Setter. The men’s basketball team concluded the Hall of Fame Classic on Friday night with an 80-78 win over Mississippi State. This marked the team’s first win against an SEC team outside of The Pit. Tomislav Buljan led the team with career highs of 19 points and 21 rebounds, setting a school record for rebounds by a freshman. He earned All-Tournament honors.

🔺 NCAA Stats. The cross country team competed in the NCAA Championships and found great success. The men finished in second place, and the women finished in fourth place. Habtom Samuel won an NCAA Cross Country title. He is the first man from New Mexico and the second Mountain West men’s runner to accomplish the feat.

🔺 Lap Complete. The swim and dive team completed its week at the Phil Hansel Invitational. The Lobos picked up 10 more PRs to give them a total of 29 on the week. Alice English won the B-Final with a 222.8 in platform. Mollie Gorman twice PR’ed in the 200 breaststroke.

🔺 In The Pit. The women’s basketball team fell to Texas Tech 82-57 at home. Destinee Hooks led the game with 24 points.
