🔺 MVP. Football player Jaxton Eck was named the Bill Brannin Most Valuable Player! Eck is the sixth linebacker to win the award, which has been presented since 1957. Multiple other Lobos football players earned awards this season. Check out all of the awards and awardees here!

🔺 Fresh Moves. Men’s basketball player Tomislav Buljan was named the Old Trapper Mountain West Freshman of the Week. This is his second honor of the season. He is just the second Lobo to win the freshman of the week award multiple times. Buljan had 16 points and 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season. Women’s basketball player Laila Abdurraqib was also named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week. She had a season-high 13 points and tied her season high in three-pointers.

🔺 Anotha’ One. Cross country athlete Habtom Samuel earned his third USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week honors. Samuel had the fastest 5,000m race in the country at the Boston U Opener last weekend. Samuel remains undefeated in races during the 2025-26 academic year.
