The University of New Mexico Spirit Program is excited to host the inaugural Lobo Spirit Golf Classic on Friday, October 2, 2026 at Santa Ana Golf Club. This event brings together alumni, businesses, families, and community supporters for a day of golf while investing in the student-athletes who proudly represent UNM on campus, athletic events, community, and on the national stage. Tournament proceeds help provide essential resources including travel, uniforms, equipment, training opportunities, and overall program development. Whether you're an avid golfer, looking for a fun day with friends, or interested in showcasing your business, we'd love to have you join us. Registration closes September 15, 2026, with any remaining team openings available until tournament day, as space allows. We also offer a variety of sponsorship opportunities for businesses and individuals looking to make an even greater impact. 🔺 Mark the Calendar! The softball team announced its 2027 Mountain West schedule. The Lobos will start conference play on March 25-27 against Nevada. They will finish MW play at UNLV on May 7-9. The MW Championship is on May 12-15 in Phoenix, Arizona.

🔺 Promoted! Bob Waller has been promoted to Senior Associate Athletic Director for Health and Performance. Waller has been with New Mexico since 2013. In this new role, he will be overseeing the entire athletic training and athletic performance staff. Waller will serve on the Vice President for Athletics’ Executive Leadership Team. He will also serve as the athletic department's liaison to UNM Health and UNM Medical Group for health and wellness initiatives and partnerships. He will also assume sport administrator duties, serving initially as the sport supervisor for the Lobos' nationally prominent men’s golf program.

🔺 Welcome. The newest members of the UNM Marketing and Revenue Generation team are Marquiza Gallegos and Bradley Anderson! Anderson will work with the Lobos’ women’s basketball, women’s soccer and softball programs, while Gallegos will work with volleyball, baseball and overseeing the internship program.
