📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Go Time. It’s officially Championship Day for Habtom Samuel! The freshman will compete in the 10,000m final at the NCAA Outdoor Championships tonight at 8:08 pm. He enters the race as a favorite after posting the fastest individual time at the NCAA West Region Preliminaries. He already owns three First Team All-American honors. The action will air on ESPN2.

🔼 Hometown Kid. The men’s basketball team has signed Dylan Chavez to the roster. He’s an incoming freshman from Albuquerque. The 6’5 guard was a star at La Cueva High School. He averaged 15 points and 4.3 assists per game last season. Dylan will be a non-scholarship player.

We have always set out to recruit the best players in the state of New Mexico and in Dylan, we were able to keep a really good one at home. He will be a great addition to our program, both in the locker room and on the court.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

The Lobos had a great year in the classroom according to the Academic Progress Rate! All sports easily passed the 930 threshold, with 12 scoring 980 or better. The men’s cross country and women’s golf teams led the way with perfect four-year rolling scores of 1000.
