🔼 Grab A Broom. The Lobos broke out the brooms and did a clean sweep of the Mountain West Cross Country Athlete of the Week Awards! Habtom Samuel was named Men’s Athlete of the Week and Nicola Jansen earned the women’s award. Both of them made their Lobo debuts and anchored the first meet against national competition. This is the first time that New Mexico has swept both awards in the same week since 2014. The women’s team clocked in at No. 23 in yesterday’s USTFCCCA National Ranking.

🔼 This Land Is Our Land. The Lobos men’s golf team won their home tournament in the Tucker Intercollegiate! They trailed Texas Tech going into the final round, but shot 13-under yesterday to win the tournament at 29-under. Albert Boneta and Bastien Amat tied for fourth overall, while Matthew Watkins tied for seventh.

🔼 On Watch. Running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt was named the Pueblo of Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel Star of the Game for the 2nd time after the win over UMass! He ran for two touchdowns and 33 yards. His 7 rushing touchdowns this season is tied for 3rd in the nation! He’s also tied for the Mountain West lead.

🔼 First Family. The Coach’s Wife Life Podcast interviewed Sandra Gonzales, football head coach Danny Gonzales’ wife! They dive into the life she has in this wild world of college football, as well as what it was like getting the call to come home to New Mexico. They also talk about the Extraordinary Lobos Camp and advocating for the families.
