📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Banker’s Dozen. For the 11th-straight year, New Mexico has over 100 Mountain West Scholar-Athlete honorees. There were 161 student-athletes honored for the 2022-23 academic year, the second-most in New Mexico history. Women’s track & field had a whopping 33 honorees while the men had 20. The baseball team also set a program record with 19 honorees. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least two academic terms at the institution and have a 3.5 or better GPA.

🔼 Lead The Way. Baseball, men’s golf, women’s golf, and women’s tennis all led the Mountain West or tied for the sports’ lead in Mountain West Scholar-Athlete honorees. Men’s tennis, men’s track & field, women’s soccer, and women’s track & field all finished top-three.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

Record Year. The New Mexico Lobo Club posted another record setting fundraising total for 2023, raising $9.3 million from local businesses and individuals who love the Lobos. The money goes to scholarships for Lobo athletes, direct support for individual sports, gifts, and many other outlets to grow the University of New Mexico. The Lobo Club was a huge donator to the New Mexico Mutual Champions Training Center.
