🔼 Managed The Mavs. The men’s basketball team got the 82-80 win over UT-Arlington last night! It was a back-and-forth battle, but Donovan Dent went all the way to beat the buzzer and get the win. He added a career-high 25 points and five assists to his stat sheet. Jamal Mashburn Jr. led the team with 29 points. JT Toppin recorded his first career double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Up next — Vegas, baby.

🔼 Diving Deep. The Lobo diving crew is headed to the three-day NAU Diving Invitational at Northern Arizona. Joining the Lobos and NAU are UC Davis, Fresno State, New Mexico State, Grand Canyon, Cal Poly, and Idaho. Alice English holds two wins in two 3-meter competitions, earning her best mark at NAU earlier this season. She’s looking for a second 1-meter win. Kristen Hepfer also has a 3-meter win under her belt that she earned last weekend.

🔼  Headed West. The Lobo football team is headed to Fresno, California to take on the Fresno State Bulldogs tomorrow night. The Bulldogs are coming off a big loss to San José State and are fighting for a conference championship game berth. The Lobos are looking to snap a three-game losing streak. The game will be live on FS1 at 8:30pm. There will be a watch party at Bubbas brought to you by Bud Light.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

The NCAA Cross Country National Championship race is here! The 13th-ranked Lobo men’s team is set to run tomorrow morning at 9:10am MT, while Nicola Jansen will run in the women’s race at 8:20am MT. This is the first NCAA Championship race for the men’s team since 2014. Habtom Samuel is one of the favorites to win it all today, as he’s won three of the four races he’s competed in this season. This men’s squad came from receiving zero votes and picked to finish sixth in the conference, to Mountain West Champions and No. 13 in the nation. Nicola was the runner-up in the Mountain West Championship and at the Mountain Regional.
