🎥 DOUBLE FEATURE

Football and volleyball play at home on Saturday, so why not have a little fun? Lobo linebacker Kyler Drake learned some volleyball lessons from Kaitlynn Biassou! Head over to the Johnson Center as the volleyball team takes on Colorado State at 1pm, there will be postgame autographs. Afterwards, you’ll need to head to University Stadium for football’s game against San José State at 4pm.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Rejuvenated. The Lobos had a week off to freshen up, but it’s game time again and San José State is comin’ to town. The Spartans are just 1-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play, but they haven’t had an easy schedule — actually, the 14th toughest in the FBS. The Lobos have Luke Wysong back from injury and some banged up Lobos healthy again. The game is a Pink Out to honor Breast Cancer Awareness, survivors will be honored during the game. Kickoff is at 4pm and if you can’t make it, you can tune in on the Mountain West Network.

🔼 Go Big. The Lobo cross country teams are headed to Wisconsin for the Nuttycombe Invite, the biggest regular season race in the nation. The field includes 21 teams ranked in the top-30 on the women’s side and 22 on the men’s side. The women’s ‘A’ race is starting this morning at 10am and the men’s at 10:40am. This will be the last regular-season meet of Coach Gauson’s first season. They’ll head to the Mountain West Championships on October 27.

🔼 Aces Wild. Last night, the volleyball team earned their fourth-straight win by beating Wyoming 3-1. They served up a season-high 10 aces while getting double-doubles from Kaitlynn Biassou and Uxue Guereca. The Lobos are on the longest win streak in the conference and hold third-place. Watch some of the highlights!

🔼  House Call. The 2023-24 Preseason All-Mountain West Team was announced at Mountain West Media Day yesterday, and Jaelen House and Jamal Mashburn Jr. made the list. The Lobos were the only team with multiple selections. New Mexico was selected to finish third in the conference, the highest landing spot since 2019-20. It’s set to be a great season, so get your tickets now!

🐺 ONE BIG THING

There’s a lot to look forward to on Saturday and Albuquerque is the place to be! At 6am, the Balloon Fiesta begins. There will be a solar eclipse at 10:34-10:39am, this won’t happen again in Albuquerque until 2144. The Lobo Walk will start at 1:30pm and kickoff is at 4pm.
