🔺 Watch Him! Football player Cade Keith was named to the John Mackey Award Preseason Watch List. The award recognizes the nation’s best tight end. Keith caught 20 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns during the 2025 season, and that's the most of any returning tight end in the Mountain West. He averaged 12.7 yards per reception, and his three touchdown receptions tied for the team lead among returning pass catchers entering the 2026 season.

🔺 Preseason Poll. The women’s soccer team was voted third in the Mountain West Preseason Coaches’ Poll. The Lobos received 82 points behind two first-place votes. Fiona Jenkins, Nicole Anderson and Alysa Whelchel were named to the MW Preseason Players to Watch List. UNM returns 21 players from a season ago while adding eight newcomers with 10 underclassmen and 19 upperclassmen on the roster.
