📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Kings Of The Course. The Lobo men’s golf team brought home some major Mountain West accolades! Coach Jake Harrington was named Mountain West Coach of the Year in his first season in Albuquerque. He led the Lobos to a No. 23 national ranking and seven top-three finishes this season. Bastien Amat was named Mountain West Men’s Golfer of the Year, becoming the sixth Lobo to earn the honor. He earned two victories this season and five top-five finishes. Albert Boneta joins Bastien on the All-Mountain West Team for the third time. He has four top-five finishes this season, including last week at the Mountain West Championship when he led the team.

🔼 Finished Strong. Lobo senior Rachael Hathoot closed her collegiate career with another First Team All-Mountain West honor! This is her second First Team honor of her career. She started all 22 conference games at shortstop and finished the year with a team-high 28 hits and .378 batting average. She carried a 27-game streak of reaching base and a 17-game hitting streak.

🔼  We’ll Take It. Both Lobos competing at the NCAA Las Vegas Regional finished their seasons with top-20 finishes. Lauren Lehigh and Myah McDonald both finished 5-over and tied for 20th-place individually. High winds were a huge factor in the final round. Lauren finishes her Lobo career with the single season scoring record at 71.67.

🔼 Lace ‘Em Up. Lobo track & field is kicking off the Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships today through Saturday! The Lobos have 21 marks that rank in podium position on the Mountain West Outdoor Performance list. Brodie Young, Dylan Burrows, Habtom Samuel, Mercy Kirarei, and Nicola Jansen all have the No. 1 times in their events. The Lobos will open competition tonight at 6:30 pm with the women’s 800m preliminary round.

🔼 It Pays To Be A Winner. This week, we’re talking about Lobo football’s guiding principle, “it pays to be a winner.” Winning is much more fun than losing, and New Mexico’s Director of Recruiting Evan Butts has lived this mantra as a player under Coach Bronco Mendenhall. Hear what the principle means to Evan.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

Lucky No. 7. Seven Lobos made the Mountain Wests Outdoor Track & Field 25th Season Teams! Courtney Frerichs, Ednah Kurgat, Alice Wright, and Weini Kelati represent the women’s portion of the team. Lee Emanuel, Josh Kerr, and Kendall Spencer represent the men. The Lobos had the second-most selections of all Mountain West teams.
