📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Start Swingin’. The Lobo softball team is starting the season strong with five games in three days! They’re playing in the Louisiana Classic at Louisiana this weekend and will meet five different teams. They’ll play Tennessee State and McNeese today, Chattanooga and Cal tomorrow, and Louisiana on Sunday. The program had big leaps last season in Coach Dickson’s first year, and they look to improve more this year.

🔼  We’re Hosting. The men’s tennis team will be hosting Louisiana today at 4 pm before spending their Super Bowl Sunday on the court. On Sunday, they’ll host Utah and Western New Mexico. Arda Azkara came in at No. 122 in the latest ITA Singles Rankings and will look to extend his perfect record at home at No. 1 this weekend.

🔼  Road Trip. The women’s tennis team is off to Spokane, Washington for three matches this weekend. They’ll take on Seattle today at 1 pm, Gonzaga on Saturday at 1 pm, and Eastern Washington Sunday morning at 9:30 am. The Lobos won their opening matches last weekend with ease, sweeping both teams 7-0.

🔼 Sold Out White Out. The Lobos are hosting UNLV tomorrow at 6 pm in front of another sold out crowd. Lobo fans attending need to wear white! The first 200 students will receive Howl Raisers t-shirts, so get there quick! Those who weren’t able to grab tickets can watch live on CBS Sports Network.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

Lobo baseball player Reed Spenrath was selected to the Preseason All-Mountain West Team! Last season, he led the team with 19 home runs, which ranked second in the conference. He was also named to D1Baseball’s Top 50 First Baseman list. The Lobos were picked to finish fifth in the Mountain West in the Preseason Coaches’ Poll.
