🔺 Finished Strong. The men’s basketball team closed 2024 on New Year’s Eve with a 103-89 win at Fresno State! It was the fourth-straight win for the Lobos, who have started conference play 3-0 for the first time since 2015-16. Mustapha Amzil and CJ Noland scored 23 points each. The Lobos return home tomorrow to host Nevada in the 1,000th game in The Pit.

🔺 Lobos > Wolf Pack. The women’s basketball team defeated Nevada 70-62 on New Year’s Day. Destinee Hooks finished with 18 points, while Viané Cumber was close behind with 17. She added five rebounds. Hulda Joaquim led the Lobos with 11 rebounds. They’ll play at San Diego State on Saturday at 2 p.m.

🔺 Double-Dual. The swim and dive team is headed west for the first meet of 2025! They’ll compete at San Diego State against the Aztecs and Pepperdine today at 3 p.m. MT.

🔺 Hall Of Famer. Former New Mexico baseball head coach Rich Alday will officially become part of the ABCA Hall of Fame tomorrow night! He remains the winningest coach in Lobo baseball history with 515 victories. He passed away in January 2021.
