Good morning, Lobo Fans! New Mexico sits first among all Mountain West schools in the 2024 final fall standings for the Learfield Directors Cup! The Lobos currently sit 41st overall.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Winning Ways. The men’s basketball team improved to 9-1 in Mountain West play after defeating UNLV 75-73 on the road! It was their first road win in the series since 2018. Donovan Dent scored 34 points, his most against a conference opponent. Nelly Junior Joseph recorded his 10th double-double of the year with 22 points and a career-high 18 rebounds. The Lobos will enjoy the week off before visiting Utah State on Saturday.

🔺 Record Breakers. The track & field teams hosted the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational over the weekend! On day one, Lobos recorded seven personal bests and three all-time top 10 performances. Hannah Taylor set the new program record in the 600m with a 1:32.38 time. On day two, Collins Kiprotich and Pamela Kosgei won the men’s and women’s mile races. They set the fastest indoor miles at elevation in collegiate history. Brodie Young and Rebecca Grieve recorded new program bests in the 300m.

🔺 Fell Short. The women’s basketball team fell to Fresno State 77-64 on Saturday. The fourth quarter made the difference as the Bulldogs outscored the Lobos 27-7. Viané Cumber led UNM with 19 points, including four three-pointers, while Destinee Hooks added 17. They’ll play Boise State on the road tomorrow.
