🔺 Locked Down. After a win and a shutout draw last week, two Lobos earned Mountain West weekly soccer honors! Ashley Moody earned Freshman of the Week honors after playing 180 minutes on defense. The Lobos allowed just one goal last week. Goalkeeper Callie Droitsch was named Defensive Player of the Week after keeping the goal locked down. She faced 35 shots for a .909 save percentage.

🔺 Get Your Tickets. Single-game tickets for men’s and women’s basketball are on sale now! Fans can purchase here. Coach Mike Bradbury, Vianè Cumber, and Lara Langermann will represent the women’s team at Mountain West Media Day tomorrow.

🔺 On The Big Stage. Former Lobo men’s basketball player Michael Cooper was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame over the weekend. He played two seasons at New Mexico from 1976-78 after transferring from Pasadena City College. He was a first-team All-WAC selection in both of his seasons as a Lobo, plus a first-team All-American in the 1977-78 season.

In 1978, the Pasadena native was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers. He spent 11 seasons in LA, winning five NBA Championships. He was the 1986-87 NBA Defensive Player of the Year and earned eight NBA All-Defensive Team honors. Cooper becomes the second Lobo to be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
