📈 STOCK UP
🔺 Lobos In Logan. Lobo football heads to Utah State looking for their third-straight win. The Lobos and the Aggies will play tomorrow at 2 p.m. on TruTV and MAX. Utah State is 11th in the Mountain West with an 0-2 conference record and a 1-5 overall record.
🔺 Dynamic Duo. Mountain West Media Day was yesterday for the men’s basketball team. Coach Pitino was joined by Donovan Dent and Nelly Junior Joseph. Dent and Joseph received Preseason All-Mountain West honors. The Lobos were one of two teams with multiple selections. New Mexico was picked second in the preseason Mountain West poll.
🔺 Three’s A Crowd. Lobo soccer earned three points by beating Fresno State by three points! The Lobos downed the Bulldogs 3-0 in last night’s Mountain West matchup. Callie Droitsch recorded two saves to earn her sixth shutout of the season. Presley Devey, Alysa Whelchel, and Margaux Clarke scored the Lobo goals. They’ll finish the week on Sunday when they host San José State at 1:30 p.m.
🔺 Came Up Short. Lobo volleyball fell to San José State in four sets last night. The Lobos fell into an 0-2 hole early, and couldn’t climb out. Lauryn Payne, Kialah Jefferson, and Naomi Chankoumi registered double-digit kills. They’ll host Fresno State tomorrow at 1 p.m.
🔺 Heavyweight Race. Both cross country teams will race at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals tomorrow! The field is stacked with nationally-ranked competition from across the nation. This will be the final regular-season race for the Lobos. The women’s 6K will begin at 9 a.m. and the men’s 8K at 9:40 a.m.
CONFERENCE ON AGING
The New Mexico Conference on Aging is a dynamic annual event designed to address the needs of older adults, caregivers, and professionals across the state. This year’s conference at Hotel Albuquerque on October 28th features inspiring keynote speakers, workshops on health, caregiving, and technology, and opportunities for activity, networking and advocacy. Attendees can explore resources, gain new insights, and engage with experts on topics like aging services, legal issues, and community support.
