📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Last Minute Lobos. Lobo football put together the largest road second-half comeback in school history to defeat Utah State! The Lobos were down 45-43 with less than two minutes left, but the offense turned in a scoring drive. Eli Sanders scored the game-winning touchdown and the Lobos won 50-45. Dimitri Johnson sealed the win with an interception with 59 seconds remaining. Both offenses combined for 1,055 yards in the shootout. The Lobos are riding a three-game winning streak, the longest in-season streak since 2016.

🔺 Speedy Sweep. Two Lobos demolished the Zimmer Championship course records and swept the individual titles at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals cross country meet! Pamela Kosgei had a meet-winning time of 18:59.1, 18.1 seconds faster than the previous course record. The women’s team finished sixth in the team score. They were one of four teams that placed three or more runners in the Top 50.

Habtom Samuel took more than 30 seconds off the previous course record in the men’s 8K. He won the race 6.8 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. The men’s team finished fourth overall. Hear from Habtom!

🔺 It’s A Draw. Lobo soccer finished Sunday with a 1-1 draw with San José State. Fiona Jenkins scored her first career goal in the 74th minute to tie the match. The Lobos recorded eight shots on goal. Callie Droitsch made five saves for the third time this season.
