🔺 That Dude Devon. Lobo quarterback Devon Dampier has been named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week! He threw for 272 yards and rushed for 105. He took responsibility for four touchdowns in New Mexico’s largest second-half road comeback in school history. His 200/100 game passing and rushing marked the third time a Lobo has ever done that twice in a career.

🔺 As Expected. After sweeping individual titles at Wisconsin Pre-Nationals, this news is the least surprising you’ll read all day. Pamela Kosgei and Habtom Samuel have swept the USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week honors! Both Lobos shattered the Zimmer Championship Course records. These are the seventh and eighth USTFCCCA weekly national awards in program history. It is also the fourth time in history in which both National Athletes of the Week are from the same school.

🔺 That’s A Wrap. The women’s golf team completed the fall portion of their schedule yesterday at the Jim West Challenge. The Lobos shot 2-over through three rounds to finish in eighth-place. Maria Garcia had a strong performance, finishing as runner-up at 9-under. Her 207 total is a New Mexico freshman record. She has had three top-five finishes this season. The Lobos will return to the course in February.
