🔺 Our Maria. Women’s golfer Maria Garcia had the best finish of her career at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate. The freshman finished tied for fifth at 5-under par. The Lobos shot 25-over as a team and finished in 13th.

🔺 Win One, Lose One. The swim & dive team opened the season on Saturday, hosting a double-dual meet against Western Colorado and North Texas. The Lobos defeated Western Colorado by a score of 239-61, but fell to the Mean Green 168-130. They’ll travel to Wyoming on October 19 for their next meet.

🔺 Came Up Short. The soccer team fell to No. 12 Utah State on Sunday, 1-0. The Aggies scored on a penalty kick in the 57th minute. The Lobos got off three shots in the second half, all on goal. Callie Droitsch made five saves in the goal, one shy of her career high.
