📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Woah Nelly. Men’s basketball’s Nelly Junior Joseph was named the Mountain West Player of the Week! He led the Lobos to wins over Nicholls and No. 22 UCLA. He recorded two double-doubles last week, combining for 44 points and 28 rebounds. New Mexico received votes in both the AP and Coaches polls this week.

The Lobos will host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi tonight at 7 p.m.

🔺 First Time In A Long Time. For the first time in 21 years, a Lobo offensive lineman has earned a Mountain West weekly honor! Left tackle Lajuan Owens was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week. He helped the offense rush for 300 yards and total 475 yards. He had two key blocks in both of Eli Sanders’ touchdown plays.

🔺 Locked Down. Lobo volleyball’s Liepa Lavickyte has been named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week! Last week, she led the Lobos in blocks and recorded the most block assists in a conference game this season. She had 21 blocks to lead the conference. Her 12 block assists against Nevada were a career-high.

The Lobos will play in this week’s Mountain West Tuesday Night Block Party tonight, hosting Air Force at 6:30 p.m.

🔺 Road Trip. The women’s basketball team hits the road for the first time this season. They’ll play at Texas Tech at 5 p.m. today on ESPN+. The Lobos are looking for their first win against Texas Tech since 2017. Three Lobos are averaging double figures in scoring — Viané Cumber, Destinee Hooks, and Alyssa Hargrove.
