🔼 Stole The Show. The women’s basketball team got the road win over Pepperdine last night, 57-48. Aniyah Augmon had eight steals, which tied for the second-most in a single game in program history. That hadn’t been done since 1998. She also led the team with 16 points, nine rebounds, and three assists. Viané Cumber had nine points from behind the arc, making this her 27th career-game with multiple three-pointers. They’ll be back home for a matchup with Tarleton on Sunday at 2pm in The Pit.

🔼 Senior Sunday. The Lobo volleyball team will be back in the Johnson Center on Saturday for Senior Day and their home-court finale. Seven seniors will be honored before the match — Kaitlynn Biassou, Uxue Guereca, Emma Smith, Athina Dimitriadis, Mattison Matthews, Melissa Walden, and Kali Wolf. Tickets are just $2.

🔼 Road To The Big Stage. The Lobo cross country teams are racing to get a bid to the NCAA Championships! They’ll run at the NCAA Mountain Regional this morning at 9am and 10am, starting with the women’s 6k. The men are fresh off a Mountain West Championship and are looking for their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2014. The women’s team will be chasing their 16th-consecutive NCAA appearances. They’ve won this regional the last two seasons.

🔼  On The Road, Again. The Lobos are headed to Boise State to play on the blue turf this weekend. They’ll take on the Broncos at 8pm tomorrow night. Boise State currently has a 4-5 overall record and are 3-2 in the conference. If you’re staying local, join the Bud Light Watch Party at Bubba’s at 8pm! If you’re staying home, the game will be on FS1.

🐺 ONE BIG THING

Today, we’re remembering the first Lobo tennis All-American, Jack Kennedy. He became an All-American in 1958. He was also New Mexico’s first four-year All-Conference honoree, from 1957-1960. Jack was a huge supporter of the program for over 50 years. Last year, the Lobos named the season-opening tournament, “The Jack Kennedy Classic.” He passed away this week at the age of 85.
