🔺 Big Ten Win. The men’s basketball team took third-place at the Acrisure Classic in Palm Springs, California! They crashed the Muss Bus and defeated the Big Ten’s USC 83-73. It was the Lobos’ second win over a Big Ten opponent this season. Donovan Dent recorded his third double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 assists. Tru Washington scored a season-high 20 points. The Lobos will host San José State on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
🔺 Fell Short. Lobo football fell just short of a bowl bid after losing to Hawai’i 38-30. Devon Dampier rushed for three touchdowns and tied DonTrell Moore’s school record with 19 on the season. He finished the season with 3,934 yards of total offense, a Lobo single-season record. The Lobos finish the year with a 5-7 overall record, going 3-4 in conference play.
🔺 Complete Win. Lobo women’s basketball recorded a season-high 15 steals in yesterday’s 75-58 win over North Texas. The Lobos led the whole way behind three in double figures. Destinee Hooks and Viané Cumber scored 19 each, while Amhyia Moreland scored 10. The Lobos have held four opponents below 60 points. They’ll host New Mexico State on Friday at 7 p.m.
