🔺 Immediate Impact. Lobo track & field signed Kenyan star Ishmael Kipkurui! He’s a 19-year-old who graduated high school last month and will be immediately eligible to compete. He was a U20 World Cross Country Champion in 2023. He holds the Kenyan U20 record in the two mile. The Lobos will be back in action on January 18.

🔺 Fell Short. The women’s basketball team fell short in their last game of the Lobo Invitational. Abilene Christian defeated the Lobos 77-69, but not without a fight. Alyssa Hargrove made it a three-point game with less than two minutes remaining, but the Lobos couldn’t get ahead. She finished the game with a season-high 14 points and a career-high three blocks. Viané Cumber led the Lobos with 18 points and eight rebounds. Mountain West play lies ahead as the Lobos head to Air Force on Sunday.
