🔺 Flying High. The men’s basketball team recorded win No. 20 at Air Force, beating the Falcons 88-53. It was their most lopsided road win in Mountain West play since 2011-12. Donovan Dent scored 25 points, adding six assists. Nelly Junior Joseph scored 14 points and a career-high 21 rebounds for his fifth-straight double-double. The Lobos will host Wyoming on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
🔺 Opening Weekend. Lobo softball finished opening weekend with three wins, three losses, and a tie. They beat Houston Christian twice and tied with St. John’s after eight innings. Allie Williams led the Lobos with 11 hits over the weekend. They’ll return to Texas for the Bobcat Invitational next weekend.
🔺 Touchdown, Lobos. On Super Bowl Sunday, the women’s tennis team won by a touchdown! They defeated Weber State 7-0. Once the Lobos secured the doubles point, it was smooth sailing as they swept the final three singles matches.
🔺 Record-Breaking Lobos. Lobo track & field broke some records at the UNM Collegiate Classic! Brodie Young broke a nearly 16-year-old record in the men’s 400m, while the women’s 4×400 relay ran the fastest time in program history. The Lobo women finished seventh in the overall team score, while the men finished eighth.
🔺 Starting Things Off. The women’s golf team starts the spring slate this week! They’ll play at the San Diego State Classic today and tomorrow. The Lobo lineup consists of Maria Garcia, Maria Caparros Levin, Chelsea Truong, Rebecca Galasso, and Annie Saechueng.
The Professional Bull Riders return to the PIT March 28-30th! Get your tickets early and be there for the biggest party on dirt, trust us its one party you won’t want to miss.
