🔺 Tru That. Men’s basketball’s Tru Washington was named the Mountain West Player of the Week! He led the Lobos to two wins last week, averaging 20 points, four rebounds, and 3.5 steals per game. New Mexico has had a player honored for the last four weeks and they’ve had eight total awards this season, one shy of the Mountain West record.

🔺 Brass Knuckles. Baseball’s Cooper Brass was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week! He had three hits on both Saturday and Sunday, batting .857 on the weekend with a 2.018 OPS. He didn’t strike out once over the weekend and is tied for the second-most hits in the conference.

The Lobos will play at Arizona today at 2 p.m. on ESPN+.

🔺 Victory Monday. The men’s tennis team stuck around Oregon yesterday to take on Portland! After nearly five hours of play, Nicolas Recoura clinched a 4-3 win for the Lobos. Aram Noroozian is now 12-7 in singles this season. The lengthy match caused the Lobos to miss their flight home, but it was all worth it.
