🔺 Top-Three Tussle. The men’s basketball team, who leads the Mountain West, will host third-place Colorado State tonight at 8:30 p.m. on FS1! The Lobos will celebrate Black History Month, wearing special warm-up shirts designed by UNM African American Student Services. Select tickets are $10 off!

🔺 New Number 2. Last night, the Lobos fell to Colorado State 69-63, but the loss had some positives. Vianè Cumber moved to second on the UNM all-time list for career three-pointers as she scored her 222nd. Her six points of the night came from two three’s. Destinee Hooks led the Lobos with 16 points, while Joana Magalhaes scored 12.

🔺 Triple Threat. Three Lobos earned Mountain West track & field honors this week! Collins Kiprotich was named the men’s Freshman of the Week after running the second-fastest 3,000m in Lobo history over the weekend. Habtom Samuel earned men’s Track Athlete of the Week after moving to No. 4 on the NCAA All-Time List in the 5,000m. His time was the fastest 5K performance by any Mountain West athlete in history. Finally, Pamela Kosgei earned women’s Track Athlete and Freshman of the Week! She broke her third UNM indoor record in as many races at the UW Invitational.

Both Lobo squads are ranked among the top-25 in the USTFCCCA TFRI Rankings with the men’s team at No. 20 and the women at No. 24.
