🔺 New Leadership. New Mexico has hired Eric Olen as the 23rd head coach of Lobo men’s basketball! He comes to New Mexico after serving as the all-time winningest head coach at UC San Diego. Olen led the Tritons to a historic 2024-25 season, winning the Big West regular season and tournament titles, and making their March Madness debut. He brings a proven track record of success, including five straight NCAA Tournament appearances at the Division II level and a 240-119 record overall.

🔺 History Made. In the photo above, you’re looking at the fastest 10K collegians in history! Ishmael Kipkurui and Habtom Samuel ran the two fastest times at Sound Running’s THE TEN. They secured qualifying times for the 2025 World Championships. Additionally, Pamela Kosgei ran the second-fastest women’s 10K in collegiate history and set a new Lobo record.

🔺 Series Secured. Lobo baseball took the series from Air Force with wins on Friday and Saturday! They started the weekend with a 7-4 win behind a stellar start from Daxton Purser and three RBI each from Akili Carris and Josh McAlister. The Lobos started strong again on Saturday, scoring nine runs in the first inning to eventually win 12-7. Ethan Ott, Will Asby, and Karsen Waslefsky hit home runs in the ninth-straight win at home. That streak ended on Sunday when the Lobos fell 7-1.

🔺 Earned It. Men’s golf head coach Jake Harrington has been named one of the first honorees of the NJCAA Coaches Legacy Awards! He led South Mountain Community College to three NJCAA Division II National Championships, is recognized for his coaching success and numerous accolades.
