🔺 Defense Delivers. The Lobo defense edged out the offense 32-23 in Friday’s Spring Football Game. Rey Iwai was named Offensive Player of the Game, Randolph Kpai Defensive Player of the Game, and kicker Luke Drzewiecki received the Hammer Award and a scholarship.

🔺 Smooth Sweep. Lobo track & field swept the 5,000m races at the Bryan Clay Invitational! Habtom Samuel set the collegiate record with a 13:05.87 time, while Pamela Kosgei came .27 seconds from doing the same on the women’s side. The success continued in the 1,500m as Judy Rono ran the second-fastest time in school history. Samuel moved up to No. 4 on the all-time list and both recorded Mountain West-leading time.

🔺 Road Warriors. Lobo baseball earned its first Mountain West road series win at UNLV! After beating the Rebels on Thursday, the Lobos fell on Friday 10-3. They bounced back to take the series on Saturday, winning 6-3. The Lobos held the Rebels to just one run in the last seven innings. They’ve now won six of their last eight. Check out some of the numbers!

🔺 Just Short. The men’s tennis team fell in a 4-3 nail biter at Boise State on Saturday. The Broncos won on two tiebreakers to win the outright Mountain West regular season title. The Lobos will look to win their way to the Mountain West Championship this week. They’ll play UNLV on Wednesday in the quarterfinals.
